IMEX-EIC Innovation in Sustainability Award
RECOGNIZING SUSTAINABLE EVENT IMPACT
Background
The IMEX-EIC Innovation in Sustainability Award celebrates event professionals driving sustainability forward through innovation, collaboration and idea sharing. The award recognizes the event or project owners, and other stakeholders such as the event organizer, venue and other key suppliers, rather than individual achievements by a single supplier for the event.
Who can apply?
The award will be given to:
- A meeting, incentive, convention or exhibition program stakeholder team—including the meeting/event owner, meeting/event organizer, venue and up to three additional suppliers or supporters (for example, the convention and visitor bureaus, technology supplier, food and beverage supplier)
- An event or project held between 1 January and 31 December of the previous year

- *40% impact (environmental impact 15%, social impact 15%, local economy impact 10%)
- 25% innovation in sustainable practices
- 15% collaboration with stakeholders
- 10% legacy
- 5% commitment to continuous improvement
- 5% commitment to industry education
Presentation
The award is presented at the IMEX Frankfurt Gala Dinner. A representative of the award recipient team must be available to receive the award. Award recipients cover their own travel and accommodations.
