CARBON OFFSET
You can make a positive climate contribution by buying vetted carbon credits, powered by Cloverly. View your estimated travel emissions in your IMEX account, where you can offset your travel emissions or a different amount. Your travel emissions are estimated based on your country or region of departure, and how you travel to IMEX—information you provided when you registered.
If your estimated travel emissions are 250kg or higher, you can contribute to a blended carbon credit portfolio made up of the three projects below. If your estimated travel emissions are below 250kg you can contribute to one of the individual projects below:
Katingan: This Indonesian project protects and restores 149,800 hectares of tropical peat swamp forest - an area that’s rich in biodiversity and home to endangered species.
Trees for Global Benefit: an award-winning reforestation project empowering Ugandan families to engage in tree planting and reforestation, while delivering rich socioeconomic benefits to the rural communities.
Novocarbo Biochar: a long-term plant-based carbon removal innovation, located minutes from Messe Frankfurt.
By choosing the blended carbon credit portfolio, you can support a variety of carbon offset types, including long-term carbon removal. You can also contribute the three projects individually.

Better Stands
We are part of a group of exhibition organizers piloting the Better Stands 10-point framework. Better Stands' aim is to help the exhibitions industry reduce waste and carbon emissions by replacing single-use booths with reusable booths. And to create safer and healthier build environments.
At IMEX Frankfurt 2024, all booth constructors are asked to self-assess using a Better Stands questionnaire. Some booths will be selected for an on-site assessment; these booths will receive a provisional Better Stands result. Booth coordinators and constructors will be told ahead of the show if their booth will be assessed on site.
Pilot learnings and resulting future plans will be shared before IMEX Frankfurt 2025. Find out more about Better Stands.
