What is the Future Leaders Forum?

The IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum at IMEX America will take place on October 16 and 17 2013, in Las Vegas.

The Future Leaders Forum programme is jointly run by IMEX, MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and MCI, and has been developed to encourage the best and brightest students to develop successful careers in meetings industry. Over 5,600 students have attended one of over 85 forums that have taken place globally since 2003. Over 90% of participants have said they are more likely to enter the industry as a result of the Future Leaders Forum.

The 2012 Forum

The 2012 IMEX-MPI Future Leaders Forum at IMEX America took place on October 10 and 11. The program attracted around 100 students who heared from meetings industry leaders on topics including :

• The Presentation of the findings of the IMEX Power of 10 - The Future of the Meeting Industry Study,
• tips and tricks on how to thrive in a global economy made up of diverse cultures, and
• learning the key ingredients to make one stand out in today's competitive market.

In addition students attended round tables on their preferred industry topics, giving them an opportunity to learn even more from industry professionals.

  The 2012 Program

Thanks to the The Venetian | The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino, for sponsoring the food and beverage throughout the Forum. They also took the opportunity to inform the students about their internship program during a drinks reception.

Also thanks to LUXOR for providing competitive room rates for the students' accommodation.

How Do I Qualify for the 2013 Forum?

Students qualifying for the Forum should be in their senior year at University/College studying meetings and conventions, tourism or hospitality and will not have attended an IMEX America Future Leaders Forum before.
